Formerly known as Thompson Creek Commercial which was established in 1980, St. Claire has its own PVC window brand exclusive only to its customers. St. Claire Window and Door Corp is looking for an Assistant Project Manager/Warehouse Assistant to join the team!  The Assistant Project Manager/Warehouse Assistant performs a dual role. In this position, you qill perform scheduled repairs for existing or previous customers while assisting in the day-to-day operations of managing jobs and closeout of projects. The secondary responsibility involves assisting with day to day warehouse operations.

     

    Responsibilities

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:  

    Assistant Project Manager (75%)

    • Complete service repairs on windows and doors previously sold by St. Claire as scheduled by our Project Coordinator.
    • Assist with window measurements and orders on assigned projects as scheduled by our Project Coordinator.
    • Assist with work orders, labor estimates, window order forms, and list of any additional materials to the Installation Manager in a timely manner.
    • Assist in execution of large projects, including but is not limited to delivering materials to the job site, managing onsite inventory, and completing punch out work as needed in order to close out the project or phase.
    • Conduct site visits to confirm progress and quality of installation, reporting findings to the PM – Level II and Project Coordinator for billing purposes and to keep the customer informed as to the status of the project.

    Warehouse Operations (25%)

    • Load and unload trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders to packing slips and checking product for any damage.
    • Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed and/or shipped.
    • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to the job number.
    • Assemble orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves for pick-up. Load the delivery truck for orders to be shipped to the jobsite. 
    • Make jobsite deliveries ensuring product is delivered without damage and on time.
    • Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs
    • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.
    • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program or process.
    • Maintain receiving log of all transactions in and out of the loading dock. Maintain copies of all shipping documents and packing slips for accounting reconciliation.
    • Maintain accurate inventory of all products.
    • Assist in counting of physical inventory.

    Qualifications

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    • High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of home improvement experience that includes measure, service, and window/door installation experience; any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Competency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    WORK EQUIPMENT: The essential functions for this position are performed outside of the office and may involve working in the elements and inclement weather.  

     

    PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Because it is our concern to offer a safe work enviroment, this position requires the use of mandatory Safety Personal Protective Equipment at all times while performing job duties on the warehouse floor. PPE include steel-toe shoes, safety glasses/googles, protective hearing plugs and/or muffles.
