We’re proud of our history, and proud to help our communities improve the comfort and conditions of their homes.  Thompson Creek is looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team.  As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will provide diverse administrative support and coordination for the Human Resources Department and the highest level of HR customer service to the entire organization.




    • Prepare employee files and process HR transactions in various systems including entry of new hire information, changes to employee personal and employment data, input of employee data into timekeeping system, 401k recordkeeping system, and SAP.
    • Maintain records of all HR transactions, ensuring adherence to HR policies, procedures and required approvals and auditability of documentation.
    • Administer all group and voluntary benefit plans including processing new enrollments, changes and terminations in a timely manner.
    • Manage annual benefit open enrollment including preparation of communications and tracking of completions.
    • Communicate benefit information to all employees in a timely manner during open enrollment as well as throughout the year.
    • Provide communications related to benefit offerings and resolve issues and questions for member/employees.
    • Reconcile benefit billings and resolve billing issues with insurance carriers and vendors.
    • Assist with FMLA and Leave of Absence administration.
    • Monitor COBRA administration vendor.
    • Generate routine and ad hoc reports (turnover, headcount, finance/budget, regulatory).
    • Administer MHIC licensing and testing activities.
    • Monitor and maintain state and federal labor law postings.
    • Perform new hire reporting when necessary
    • Interpret, communicate and ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
    • Coordinate the delivery schedule for new hire orientation and periodically lead the delivery based on the rotating schedule.
    • Ensure readiness for new hire orientation including scheduling meeting room(s), ensuring all presenters are confirmed, and IT resources are available.
    • Assist with recruitment activities including initiating pre-employment background screens, monitoring completion of pre-employment activities, communication with candidates, and maintenance of recruitment related documents in the ATS when needed.
    • Maintain standards of strict confidentiality with respect to all matters and documents
    • Support the human resources / recruiting team on ad hoc projects and other administrative duties as needed



    • Bachelors’ degree and at least 2 years’ experience providing administrative support in a fast-paced HR department; any equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Experience with HRIS and/or payroll systems
