    Thompson Creek is looking for a Materials Coordinator to join our team.  The Materials Coordinator is responsible for organizing and controlling the functions associated with shipping and receiving, and raw materials inventory.  Carries out tasks associated with fork lift operations on the factory floor.




    • Supervise the delivery and unloads all raw material received in the factory (vinyl, glass, plywood, aluminum screen etc.), quarantine product and perform quality inspections of goods.
    • Confirm counts on packing slips and processes receiving paperwork for accounting reconciliation.
    • Allocate all delivered material to designated locations according to specific production details.
    • Prepare and stage raw material at machinery for scheduled production runs.
    • Plan and coordinate the transfer of materials between factory and warehouse.
    • Ensure proper stock rotation of raw materials using FIFO.
    • Perform raw material inventory cycle counts and ensures proper inventory to meet customers’ demands in the most efficient manner obtainable.
    • Operate forklift to move raw materials and finished goods.
    • Develop and implement improvements in policies and procedures to promote efficiency, faster service, and lower costs.
    • Investigate obstacles in the factory inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance, which centers on customer satisfaction.
    • Provide leadership and training initiatives to grow and develop a factory distribution team.
    • Train staff on inventory control processes.
    • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all company safety and OSHA requirements. 



    • High school diploma or GED. 8-10 years of experience shipping and receiving products and inventory control, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Familiarity with company products is helpful, but not required.
    • Valid drivers’ license and certified forklift operator license.
